HINTON, BETTY EUGENIA It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Betty, at age 98, at Cawthra Gardens Long Term Care Residence, on Thursday, May 12, 2022. Beloved wife of the late Gordon Hinton for 71 years, dear mother of Linda (Doug) MacDonald, loving Nanny of Kevin, great-grandmother of Andrea and great-great-grandmother of Zoephyah. She was predeceased by her parents, Rev. Dr. Albert E. Hayward and Sylvia Hayward and granddaughter Karen. Throughout her life, she loved music, enjoyed playing the piano, had many hobbies and was actively involved in her church. Betty always had time for a friend and was a caring, compassionate help to many. Her wonderful sense of humour and sweet spirit will be greatly missed. In lieu of flowers, donations to Canadian Red Cross Ukraine Humanitarian Crisis Appeal, would be greatly appreciated. Friends may call at the Turner & Porter "Peel" Chapel, 2180 Hurontario St. (Hwy. 10, north of QEW), on Wednesday, May 25, 2022, for a Funeral Service in the Chapel at 11 a.m. followed by a time of fellowship and the Interment at 1 p.m. at Springcreek Cemetery.
