I am finding this tributes page almost six years after your passing and it brings me to happy tears and a comforting walk down memory lane to read my aunties and cousins memories of you, grandad.
You were the most important male role model in my life and your continuous gentle, humble energy and heart always made us feel loved and appreciated.
Thank you for the many weekends, school holidays and all the times in between, where you would pick us kids up from School, in your little orange mini and take us to your house to stay. We truely had the best childhood because of yours and grans influence in our lives.
It pains me to think of you, even six years later. Your passing left an immeasureable hole in my heart and when I think of you, I am still bought to both (happy and sad tears).
I love that you were the soft one, grandad... always sneaking us delicious treats when gran wasn't looking and wondering why we were bouncing off the big room walls all through the night, hyped up.
Thank you for teaching me how to drive in the paddock in your old truck, for the walks to the mung (swimming hole) for letting us come on your fishing trips to the gorge, even though you knew that we were way too loud and boisterous and (9/10 times) we would scare the trout away. LOL.
the best cook to walk the planet, the most humble man. My gosh, your legacy lives on and I tell my sons and daughter about you, frequently.
I miss you Grandad and love you so much.

My heart broke when you left us that day dad. Time froze and I didn't know what to do. I felt numb, lost and heartbroken And now I can no longer see you or kiss you on your cheek. It saddens me deeply no matter what I do, but you will always live forever inside my heart. So please watch over me the way you always have and when I desperately miss you and am feeing so sad, wrap your arms around me and give me the strength to go on dad.
We were given the most precious gift... you being there for my first breath, and my darling dad - me being there for your last.
I am so proud to say you are my dad....the greatest man I ever knew.
So wait for me in heaven dad.
Don't let me come alone.
The day the angels come for me, please be there to bring me home.
I love and miss you so much.xxxxxx

My heart aches for a much loved and cherished grandad. My memories will forever be filled with happiness when I think of the times we spent together. Thank you for keeping count of my growing freckles, letting me eat all the gravy I wanted, showing me how to make scrambled eggs and letting me sleep in the cot in your room until I could no longer fit in it, among many, many others...love you always, Jess xx

Broken Chain
We little Knew that morning that God was going to call your name.In life we loved you dearly In death we do the same.It broke our hearts to lose you,you didnt go alone, for part of us went with you, the day God called you home. You left us peaceful memories, your love is still our guide, and though we cannot see you,you are always at our side. Our family chain is broken, and nothing seems the same, but as God calls us one by one, the chain will link again. So dearly, dearly loved and missed.Always your loving daughter. Dad we adored you. xxxxxxxxx
