I grew up living next door to Mr and Mrs Gribben. I´ll always remember how kind they were, our chats in the kitchen, the go kart we used to ride around the three houses in and feeding Nib when they went to the beach over the holidays.

Dear Carol, I am so sad to hear about your mum. I saw the post on the Facebook Upper Hutt memory website this morning (You know you grew up in Upper Hutt when you remember...'). There were lots of tributes to your mum (and dad) on there (I tried to post a link to Peter and hope it reached him). I had lost contact with your mum and had been wondering how she was and where she was living. God bless her. She was a wonderful person and so kind. I have such fond memories of those days when we were young. She was like a second mother to me. A sad time for you all it will be. I identify with you in that sadness, and will let Kristine know as she loved her too. Condolences to you and the others in the family. You will have lots of support there. Love to all, Pauline

Sincere condolences Carol and family. Your Mum will be sadly missed, she was the loveliest lady and I was privileged to meet and spend time with her when my Mum Sylvia and June became good friends at Woodlands. I couldn't help but compliment her every time we met as she always dressed and looked so lovely and perfect! RIP June, we will miss you in so many ways.
