Athol Bruce Lessington:
Passed peacefully with family at his side on 9 March 2023 at New Vista Rest Home in Wanganui. Dearly beloved husband of June for 65 years. Amazing Dad to Lyn & Phil Durston, Carolynn & the late Grant Harper, Ngaire & Noel Leins, Heather & Rex Ham, the late Garth McDermott, and Malcolm & Sophia McDermott. Awesome Grandad and Great-Grandad to many. Loved brother of the late Lawrence, Gordon and Ron. Thanks to New Vista Rest Home for your wonderful care of our Dad in his final days. At Dad's request in lieu of flowers please make donations to either Arohanui or Wanganui Hospice. A service to celebrate Athol's life will be held at Cobham Chapel, 18 Morris Street, Marton, at 2.00pm, on Thursday 16 March followed by a private cremation.
