So sorry for your loss. Way back in the 60s I remember his fabulous deep singing voice. My very best memory of him was him singing at the Banjo Pickers Convention in Te Rapa in 1968. There was a children“s concert in the afternoon and he took the house down. Literally. Shortly after singing "The Cat Came Back" and then "Green and Yellow" the storm that took out the Wahine in Wellington arrived in Te Rapa and took out the Big Top tent....

So sorry to hear this. Paul (Metsers) has lovely memories of great music from Arthur and his mate on banjo at the Monde Marie and the Chez Paris in early days in Wellington. He will be sadly missed. Love to all his family from Paul & Pauline in the UK.

Have known Arthur for a very long time, since 1960s at the Monde Marie in Wellington. Sympathy to all his family and friends. He's playing and singing still somewhere, probably Sweeney Todd the Barber!
