Anthony SIGNAL Obituary

4.6.1962 – 29.10.2024

After doing his best to live as well and long as he could with a terminal illness, Tony died peacefully at Arohanui Hospice in the presence of family on 29 October 2024. He was Val and the late Des Signal's firstborn son, and Terry and Paul's treasured big brother. Dearly loved and loving husband of Helen Dollery, proud Dad of Rosie and Gion, and Cass. A friend, teacher and colleague to many, Tony was both a scholar and a gentleman. The family extends our deep gratitude to Dr Bart Baker and the Haematology team for their care of Tony over the past ten years; and to the Arohanui team for their compassionate care at his life's ending. Online donations in Tony's memory may be made to Leukaemia and Blood Cancer New Zealand or Arohanui Hospice. Messages to the Signal/Dollery family c/- 167 John F Kennedy Drive, Palmerston North 4414. Friends are invited to attend a service for Tony at the Beauchamp Crematorium Chapel, 167 John F Kennedy Drive, Palmerston North, on Wednesday 6th November 2024, at 2.00pm.
