I have only just got the sad news about the passing of Alan. I started working at Feilding Central garage around about 1958 as an apprentice and in that time I got to know alan very well and he would be a work mate and a friend. Rachel who has shared her memories of Alan was working there at the same time that I was and I backup all the things that have been said about Alan. I spent 10 enjoyable years working there before I headed for Australia. R.i.p. Alan.

Condolences to the Rosoman family for their sad loss.
Allan and i enjoyed many a discussion on the problems of the world and he always had an observation that got one thinking.
Rest in peace Allan

Alan was my 2nd cousin. Our fathers used to fish together in Turangi. Alan will be missed. I'm sorry I can't attend his funeral, as I will be in Auckland that day. Alan and I used to have great conversations and he helped with the Stunell Family History I wrote.

So sad to learn of Alan´s passing but have fond memories of listening to his many tramping experience`s and trout fishing in the Tongariro river pre hydro days.
As a perfectionist photographer Alan would have some very interesting photos which would make great cause for discussion but only he would have been able to provide the time and detail in each one.
We sure will miss him for many lovely reasons which include his dry sense of humour .

I arrived in Feilding aged 17 in April 1961, I worked at Dewe Electrical next door to Feilding Central Garage where we got our petrol from and have known Alan since then, without fail in the intervening 61 years whenever we saw each other in the street, in the Rangitikei Club or anywhere there was always a warm and genuine greeting from Alan, he was one of those people who you would not want to miss knowing in your life. He will I know be sorely missed by his family and his many friends. My sincere condolences to all his loved ones.

It is with sadness I read of Alan's passing. I moved from Pihama, Taranaki as a 16 year old to Feilding in 1962 and I was looking for employment and one of my Interviews was at Ford Motor Company
I recall my Interview with Mr Jeffrey Rosoman and George Rosoman, brothers of whom Managed this Company, I was introduced to Alan of whom was the Accountant for the Company. I was phoned that afternoon, the Job was mine.
I recall those first couple of years got to know Alan and families. They used to go to Turangi to go fishing. was a keen photographer. I worked with the Garage for 3 years. Wages were not great in those days. I applied for a Position to be Secretary to County Clerk, of The Oroua County Council of which I got. yet on leaving there Employment when I ever saw them, they were always wanting to know how I was going.
We are invited to indicate how we knew Alan. I guess it would be Work and Friend.
You were known by many of whom I hope more messages we see. We wish you peace Alan and will cherish the memories we have. May you R.I.P.

My deepest sympathy to family of Alan. My memories go back to the Feilding Camera Club in the 1980s.
I worked at Mandahls Photography shop 1983-86 and remember one afternoon when he had come into the shop. A woman was trying to park her car in the parallel parks across the street. She went forward and hit the car in front of her, then reversed and hit the car behind her. Alan said, "Parking by Braille". That was so typical of his sense of humour.
My thoughts are with you all.
