THOMAS, Michael (Blue) Langham WO1 MiD. Passed away peacefully at Hawkes Bay Regional Hospital on 27 January 2024. Loving husband of Gail. Treasured dad and father-in-law of Wayne, Kiri and David Kirk. Loved grandpa of Ryan, Lachie, Kegan and Caitlin; and Isabella and Evie. Loved brother and brother-in-law of Judy and John Ellegard and Penny Williams. Loving uncle of his nieces and nephews. A service to celebrate Mike's life will be held at St Lukes Anglican Church, Te Mata Road Havelock North on Wednesday 31st January 2024 at 1pm, followed by a private cremation. In lieu of flowers donations to Dementia Hawkes Bay may be left at the entrance to the church or https://dementia. nz/#donate . To Gail and family, we are deeply saddened and shocked to hear of Blue´s passing a week ago. Our thoughts are with you all at this very sad time. I remember when Blue and I went on hunting trips at Manu block, one time we had to float a deer several miles down river to the viaduct as it was the easiest way to get it out. It was a fun experience even though we both got wet and took turns carrying the rifles along the river bank to keep them dry. We were close friends at Te kuiti high school and in the army cadets together. Blue was a great mate, a true friend and I´m going to miss him, even though the miles kept us apart, Blue has always been in my heart. Arohanui Smithy & Marie Kiore Xx
