Precious memories of a very special friend .I thank God for every memory of you and Nola spanning sixty-five years. What a wonderful testimony your lives have been to your Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

I am currently in Canada and will be unable to take part with you in the celebration service for Bill.
Special love to Sheryl,Delwyn,Ailsa and the late Jolene and all of the extended family.

May God grant you His peace and comfort in the days ahead, and may you prove that "underneath are the everlasting arms"

Condolences from the late Colin Stevenson

June 12, 2018

Dear Sheryl, Delwyn, Ailsa and families, It was with a great sense of loss that I received news from a very good friend in Palmerston North this evening of your Dad's passing.
Words cannot express the mix of emotions that came flooding in.Whilst it is lovely to think of your Mum and Dad together again, their love and friendship are irreplaceable.

I have known Nola since I first moved to Palmerston North when I was sixteen, and she was ten years older. We sat next to each other in the Palmerston North Baptist choir and almost immediately became very firm friends, the age difference a mere detail.
I soon got to know Bill as well and later was a bridesmaid at their wedding
.They were both so very good to me and I thank God for every memory of them both and their wonderful extended families.
Later, when I married ,Peter was included in that very special friendship along with Mary their other bridesmaid and her husband Brian. After our children had all left home we met about three or four times a year and shared a meal together on these occasions often travelling many miles to do so
We sometimes got together as our children were growing up and what special times they were.

I am currently staying with my eldest daughter in Canada, so sadly I will not be able to join you at the service on Thursday to celebrate Bill's life

As I do not have any of your emails with me,please accept this as a personal message to each of you.

Both Mum and Dad had a very strong faith and have been an enormous blessing to our family over so many years.

May you experience God's comfort at this time and remember that "underneath are the everlasting arms"

With much love always

Aunty Rae
